Job summary

Working Alternatives, Inc. is seeking a Shift Supervisor in the Security department to oversee Security Monitors on shift and ensure resident safety and contract compliance. The role also supports staff development and maintains a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, supervisory experience, and the ability to complete annual training. Must be able to work any shift, travel locally if required, and pass federal background checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year experience in the reentry/correctional field required.
• One year supervisory experience required.
• Must have good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Must pass federal background check.
• Available to work any shift any time any schedule.
• Must have valid driver's license and SSN, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Security Monitors on shift.
• Recommends disciplinary action for employee violations.
• Monitor facility grounds and equipment for hazards and report repairs.
• Reviews files, logs and tasks to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct urinalysis and Breathalyzer tests as needed.
• Conduct resident counts as needed.
• Monitor resident movement and ensure sign in/out procedures are followed.
• Oversee shift operations.
• Participate in hiring for Security Monitors.
• Supervise and train Security Monitors on policies and procedures.
• Assist with staff evaluations and scheduling.
