Working Alternatives, Inc. is seeking a Shift Supervisor to supervise Security Monitors on shift, provide resident care, and support achievement of organizational goals.
The role includes overseeing shift operations, staff development, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in reentry/correctional field and supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to pass a federal background check.
Department: Security
Hours per week: 40/Full Time
Reports directly to: The Assistant Director and indirectly to the Director and Corporate.
Shift Supervisor also works as a Monitor and supervises Security Monitors on shift. Provides care for residents and ensures organizational goals are being met. Assists with employee development and established a safe working environment.
High School diploma or GED required. One year of experience in the reentry/correctional field is required. One year supervisory experience is required. Experience in a correctional field or supervisory experience may be waived based on approval from Human Resources. Must have good communication skills and be able to articulate professionally, verbally and in writing. Must complete annual training required by contract. Available to work any shift any time any schedule. Must have a valid driver's license or state ID, social security card issued by the U.S. Social Security Administration, and be a United States citizen, permanent resident, or other person lawfully admitted into the United States. Must pass a federal background check.
