The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Security Monitor for a residential re-entry center in Fairbanks, Alaska. This full-time role coordinates administrative and operational security on a specific shift, leading staff to maintain round-the-clock coverage and compliance with post orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year as a Monitor I or two years related experience with leadership preferred.
• Familiar with community correctional operations, laws and supervision training.
• Ability to write legible reports in English with correct grammar.
• Ability to plan, motivate, schedule, train and react quickly to emergencies.
• Ability to work any assigned shift and with facility computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Directly leads Monitor staff and residents on the shift in duties and trains new employees.
• Read, understand and comply with post orders for the assigned post.
• Maintain daily logs, including resident counts and facility checks.
• Provide staffing coverage and supervise during periods of short staffing.
• Prepare disciplinary reports and other administrative documents.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with Security Manager or Facility Director.
