Job summary

Murphy Family Restaurants, a McDonald’s franchisee in the Southeast Alabama region, is seeking Shift Managers to lead shifts, ensure fast, accurate and friendly service, and supervise crew and other managers.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of management experience, a passion for helping others, and strong customer service skills. Flexible scheduling is available, with part-time or full-time opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Plan for each shift (crew positioning, stock levels) and monitor performance to meet McDonald’s standards.
• Maintain safety and cash controls during the shift (safe contents, skims, deposits).
• Oversee shift profitability and manage labor and food cost.
• Meet targets during the shift; identify danger zones and direct action.
• Handle crew schedules, breaks, labor law compliance, and drive performance.
• Lead food safety procedures and cleanliness to McDonald’s standards.
• Address customer concerns and apply the recovery process when needed.
• Provide encouraging leadership for crew and managers to ensure guest experience.
• Cultivate training and ongoing learning within the restaurant.
• Assist assigned Department (People, Kitchen, or Guest Services) meet goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
