Job summary

CAMBA is seeking a Per Diem Shift Supervisor for its Bronx, NY program. The role coordinates residence staff, ensures QA and regulatory compliance, and handles emergencies, with focus on client progress and accurate documentation.

Minimum education includes a HS Diploma or GED with experience, or an associate/bachelor’s degree with related experience. The position is on-call and hourly pay is provided.

• Investigate all complaints and/or incidents and respond to emergencies
• Monitor and document clients’ progress towards their goals
• Review documentation related to clients’ progress for accuracy, completeness, and clarity
• Motivate, coach, and counsel direct reporting staff
• Assist with facility-related tasks, client services, and reporting.

CAMBA operates 6 single adult shelters and 6 family shelters and one drop in center. Each shelter offers clients a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. Homeless (often mentally-ill and substance-abusing) men and women are provided with comprehensive services to stabilize their condition in order to successfully transition into to permanent and/or supported housing.

CAMBA’s Park Avenue Residenceis funded by New York City Department of Homeless Services and offers families a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. It provides comprehensive case management services to 63 families who are in a transitional residence program for homeless families. The nine story facility has rooms for various sizes, common areas and provides on-site security and socials services to stabilize.

What The Per Diem Shift Supervisor Does:

• Coordinate the day-to-day work of residence staff to ensure client success
• Conduct Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance
• Investigate all complaints and/or incidents and respond to emergencies
• Monitor and document clients’ progress towards their goals
• Review documentation related to clients’ progress for accuracy, completeness, and clarity
• Motivate, coach, and counsel direct reporting staff
• Assist with facility-related tasks, client services, and reporting.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• HS Diploma or GED and 3 years applicable experience, or Associate’s degree (A.A.) and 2 years’ experience, or Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience.

Pre and/or Post Employment Requirements:

• Require TB results prior to start date
• Attestation for State Central Child Abuse Registry
• Must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Must obtain and maintain certification in overdose prevention.
• Must obtain and maintain F-80 Fire Safety Coordinator certification
• Must obtain and maintain CPI (Crisis Prevention) certified
• Please note that this position is on call.

Compensation: $25.00 hourly

When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate.This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
