Responsibilities

• Monitor clients, units, and grounds to ensure safety.
• Review items entering facility for safety and provide crisis intervention.
• Record incidents and grievances in logs and reports.
• Maintain communication with department supervisors on social services issues.
• Manage entry logs to track all entrants to facility.
• Contribute to site goals and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Assist clients with questions and resolve issues.
• Monitor video surveillance across facility areas.
• Follow all safety, health, and fire guidelines and procedures.
• Report safety hazards to supervisors or maintenance.
• Resolve issues diplomatically and provide coverage when needed.
• May work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Perform other duties to keep facility running smoothly.

SHIFT SUPERVISOR (Long Island City)

Salary: $50,000.00 Annually

Qualifications:

• N.Y.S. Security License, F-80 Certificate of Fitness, C.P.R./Basic First Aid certification.
• Minimum High School Diploma / G.E.D.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries in working with clients.
• General knowledge of working in a residential facility preferred.
• Knowledge of H.I.P.P.A. guidelines and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Ability to assess emergencies and respond effectively.

Responsibilities:

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for, but is not limited to:

• Monitor the clients, units, and grounds always to ensure the security and safety of each resident.
• Examine all items entering the facility to ensure client and staff safety Provide crisis prevention and intervention as needed.
• Record incidents and residents' grievances appropriate in a logbook and on an incident report.
• Maintain ongoing communication with all department supervisors concerning social services issues.
• Manage entry logs to ensure all persons entering the facility are recorded and accounted for.
• Participate in the development of site goals and objectives by making recommendations that can aid in site efficiency.
• Assist clients with questions and resolve any issues as they may arise.
• Monitor video surveillance of all areas of the facility.
• Adhere to safety, health, and fire hazard guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Report any immediate safety hazards to appropriate supervisory personnel or maintenance personnel.
• Work diplomatically to solve issues that may arise.
• Provide coverage when necessary.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Perform all other required duties to ensure the facility is running efficiently.
