Westhab Inc. in NYC seeks a Shift Supervisor to oversee security operations in our 24-hour homeless shelter. You will supervise officers, monitor access control, respond to incidents, and ensure safety for clients and staff; overtime is mandatory and relief coverage is required.
The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years of supervisory experience, and valid NYS Security Guard license and Fire Guard F80 certification. Knowledge of CARES and DHS shelter protocols is preferred.

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising, performing, and reporting work involving a variety of specialized assignments and security systems in our homeless shelter. Operations within our facility are 24 hours. This is a position that requires face-to-face relief with mandatory overtime. This position reports to the Security Manager.
Proof of education is required: High School Diploma/GED. 1-2 years of Supervisor experience required. A valid N.Y.S Security Guard License, Fire Guard License F80 Required, and certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI). Must possess a general knowledge of security systems. Ability to solve problems; ability to make decisions based on factual information is a must. Knowledge of video surveillance and fire detection/alarm notification systems a must. Must be flexible on days and hours of availability. Must have shelter knowledge and be familiar with CARES and DHS shelter protocols
