Sonoco Products Company in Newport, TN is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee safety, quality and productivity for the assigned shift. You will coordinate scheduling, manage overtime and drive cost reductions while leading continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, science or engineering and at least two years of supervisory experience. Compensation includes a base salary of $93,600–$105,300 plus a 12.5% target bonus and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, science or engineering preferred.
• At least 2+ years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach and lead the safety process and best manufacturing practices for assigned shift.
• Coordinate production scheduling on shift to meet customer demands, manage overtime, minimize inventory, and reduce costs.
• Direct shift in continuous improvement initiatives and work to meet performance metrics using Lean tools.
• Build and maintain productive relationships that foster employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Provide direction, training, and development of hourly employees on assigned shift as well as counseling or discipline as needed.
• Identify, propose, and implement capital projects to improve operational performance.
