Job summary

Sonoco Chestnut Hill, TN is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the production team on 12-hour shifts, ensuring safety, quality and productivity. You will supervise crew, coordinate training, review schedules, and maintain records while enforcing SOPs and 5S practices.

Bachelor of Science required; LEAN experience and solid data interpretation skills are essential. The role requires overtime/on-call availability and offers a base salary with 12.5% quarterly bonus plus full benefits.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree is required.
• Experience with LEAN practices (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, etc.) and problem solving.
• Two years of job related experience.
• Ability to operate and functionally use the computer.
• Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data to make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the department/production function to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards.
• Conducts on-the-job training and development of subordinates’ skills.
• Maintains production, spoilage, and downtime records and reviews schedules for optimization.
• Implements SOPs and JSPs and supports safety and emergency procedures.
• Leads problem solving sessions to address production, quality and safety issues.
