Gopuff is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our Starbucks Operations team. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role is a core part of the team with the responsibility to ensure order accuracy and fast, efficient delivery to our customers. This role contributes to Starbucks' success by assisting the regional manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. The incumbent is responsible for deploying baristas and delegating tasks to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers. The position requires modeling and acting in accordance with both Starbucks standards and Gopuff standards.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:
- Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks and Gopuff.
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team.
- Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment for cues.
- Communicate information to the manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a great working environment during each shift.
- Assist with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Provide feedback to the manager on employee performance during shift.
- Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to baristas on shift to ensure operational excellence and improve performance.
- Develop positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
- Execute store operations during scheduled shifts.
- Organize opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Work hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate store needs.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or equivalent; 1 year of leadership in a cafe is preferred.
- ServeSafe Certification highly preferred.
- Experience in Starbucks or other fast-paced cafes preferred.
- Ability to work with flexible schedules.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
