Job summary

Applegreen Group in the United States is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations at one of our travel plazas. You will supervise team members, ensure brand standards, and uphold food safety and cash handling policies while delivering friendly service to travelers.

Responsibilities include opening and closing procedures, POS operation, customer issue resolution, product prep, stock checks, and coaching new team members to maintain high performance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience is required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience is preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public in a friendly, energetic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system and process payments.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain a solid knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in the training of new team members.
• Follow required brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations, concerns, or problems.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
