Job summary

Applegreen, a prominent travel plaza operator, is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily shifts across locations in the Northeast and Midwest. You will ensure excellent customer service, oversee team duties, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities include opening/closing checklists, POS cash handling, training new team members, cross-selling, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring accurate pricing.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, wrapping, dating, stocking, storing and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members and ensure policy adherence.
