Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead a high-energy team on a fast-paced shift. You will motivate staff, oversee food service, stocking, and cash handling, and ensure guest satisfaction and safety standards are met.

You’ll coach teammates in real-time, communicate updates from leadership, and drive store performance. A strong emphasis on teamwork and accountability guides daily operations and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience in retail, restaurant, or food service preferred.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience required or preferred.
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same.
• Strong communication and team-building skills to lead a shift.

Responsibilities

• Set a cheerful, can-do tone to motivate the team.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real time with guidance and support.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Train and guide the team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication are executed correctly.
• Oversee cash wrap, write-offs, and compliance documentation.
• Lead shift-change communication and keep the day aligned.
