Job Overview

The Osborne Association serves individuals, families, and communities affected by the criminal justice system. Osborne has opened its first transitional housing and reentry program, The Fulton Community Reentry Center (Fulton). Fulton provides 140 beds of transitional reentry housing to formerly incarcerated men and offers onsite reentry services including case management, benefits enrollment, employment, health, and substance use disorder treatment. The facility operates 365 days a year, 24/7, including evenings and weekends; some positions require non‑traditional work hours.

We are seeking a full‑time Shift Supervisor to join our Fulton Team. The Shift Supervisor provides shift coverage and is on‑call nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring the overall operation and safety of the facility. The position reports to the Assistant Security Manager and requires flexibility with scheduling, including evening, overnight, and weekend availability.

Salary range: $28.85-$30.22

Essential Duties
  • Supervise Residential Aides
  • Assist in scheduling staff and ensuring 24‑hour coverage
  • Maintain, revise, and update operations logs, records, and forms
  • Ensure the security of the premises and perform access control
  • Perform regular and frequent foot patrols of the entire facility
  • Promptly advise appropriate supervisors (Operations Manager and Program Director) of problems or concerns
  • Schedule daily assignments for subordinates and monitor their performance
  • Complete Safety Monitor performance evaluations, progress reports, disciplinary memos, and shift assignments
  • Interact with all clients in a professional and productive manner
  • Supervise shift, overseeing and performing crisis intervention and addressing operational problems
  • Supervise and perform all regular client service and reporting tasks
  • Schedule daily and weekly assignments, monitor functions, and participate in the rotation of task assignments
  • Perform special assignments and shift‑specific responsibilities as assigned, ensuring the provision of services and compliance with regulations and policies
  • Produce and provide daily census
  • Provide clear direction, information, and assistance to clients, client visitors, vendors, and employees in a professional, pleasant, and courteous fashion, both regularly and during emergency situations
  • Ensure that all life safety systems and related equipment are fully functional
  • Search all residents, staff, visitors, and residential rooms and common areas of the facility via magnetometers, hand‑held wands, and x‑ray baggage scanners
  • Willingness to become trained in Safe Crisis Management (SCM) by Osborne Staff
  • Cover any shift vacancies as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • New York State Security Guard Registration Card
  • 16‑Hour On‑The‑Job Security Guard Training Certificate
  • First Aid / CPR Certificate
  • Must have FDNY F80 & F02 Certifications, or obtain by the start date
  • NYS valid driver's license
