Placements24 is seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor for an on-site role in East London, Eastern Cape. You will lead a production team, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and coordinate with maintenance and quality control to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing/production.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Solid understanding of production operations, quality control, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the production team on assigned shifts to meet output and quality targets.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on the production floor.
• Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Train, mentor, and motivate staff to ensure high performance and adherence to procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output, waste, and downtime data.
• Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality control to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage allocation and utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment for the shift.
• Uphold company policies and discipline to maintain a productive work environment.
• Conduct shift handover meetings to ensure continuity of operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
