Job summary
Westlake Chemical in Lenexa, KS is seeking an experienced Production/Plant Supervisor to help manage the facility and meet sales requirements. You will supervise production personnel and quality technicians, ensure safety compliance, and partner with the Plant Manager to optimize operations.
The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement programs. You will lead training, monitor performance, plan materials, and coordinate with HR and other departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or related Engineering, preferred but not required if sufficient experience.
- At least 5 years manufacturing experience and 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement programs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise production personnel and quality technicians to meet schedules.
- Ensure safety policies are followed and maintain equipment and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Lead lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
- Train staff and conduct performance reviews and hiring.
