The role requires strong leadership, ability to train and develop teams, and adherence to GMP and safety standards. Responsibilities include evaluating performance, conducting incident analysis, and coordinating with supervision to maintain high plant morale and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous plant processing and leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lead and train colleagues and build teams.
• Ability to analyze information quickly to provide feedback in the manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Demonstrated communication, organizational, trouble-shooting and record keeping skills.
• Passion for learning; willingness to learn and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work a rotating shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties.
• Capability to work in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and ability to wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations performed by hourly production colleagues to ensure safe, efficient work meeting environmental, quality, housekeeping, and quantity standards.
• Provide resources and training to safely operate and wear PPE.
• Assign work to shift personnel to optimize experience and abilities.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA/health/environmental regulations and promote a safety-first culture.
• Identify and address GMP hazards, propose improvements, and conduct inspections.
• Listen to colleague concerns about safety, health, quality and communication and relay to management.
• Develop training plans with Production Superintendent and help colleagues achieve proficiency.
• Evaluate performance and discuss disciplinary actions with supervisors and HR.
• Attend operations, safety and supervisor meetings and contribute to program evaluations.
• Analyze safety incidents and propose corrective actions within 24 hours.
