Job summary

Ferrero is seeking a Production Supervisor in Bloomington, IL to oversee daily production on multiple lines, ensuring safety, quality, and sanitation. You will lead shift activities under the Production Manager, ensuring tools and equipment are available and used effectively to meet production goals.

The role emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with leadership experience or 5 years in a union manufacturing environment;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree AND 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a union manufacturing environment, OR 5 years of supervisory experience in a union setting.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing production, machinery, stock management, and production models.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities on production lines to optimize material, method, labor, and machinery.
• Manage all production phases within your shift, including preparation and packaging.
• Collaborate with Production Manager on resource allocation and skills development.
• Apply resource management criteria on production lines and manage handoffs.
• Handle conflicts, conduct disciplinary meetings, and coordinate with HR on personnel decisions.
• Support HR in selecting line personnel and providing evaluations for new hires.
• Implement safety measures to prevent incidents and reduce absences.
• Define guidelines for skills development and communicate key information to peers.
