Job summary

Ferrero is hiring a Production Supervisor in Bloomington, IL. The role oversees shift-based production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and sanitation while coordinating with the Production Manager for resources and skill development.

The position requires leadership experience in a union manufacturing environment and familiarity with SAP. Shift options include 1st and 3rd with weekend rotation; ERP and MS Office proficiency are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years of leadership experience or 5 years supervisory/management experience in union manufacturing environments.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing production, machinery, stock management, and production models.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, leadership and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities for production factors: material, method, labor, and machinery.
• Supervise all production phases within your shift (preparation, packaging, etc.).
• Collaborate with Production Manager on resource allocation and skills development.
• Apply criteria to resource management on production lines (changes, break substitutions).
• Manage conflicts among line resources, lead disciplinary actions, and liaise with HR.
• Assist in selecting line personnel and provide evaluations for new hires.
• Implement measures to prevent incidents and reduce absences on the line.
• Contribute to defining guidelines for skills development of line employees.
• Facilitate handoffs and communicate key information to peers and Production Management.
