Job summary

The Marzetti Company in Columbus, OH is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct the processing, packaging and material handling activities on a designated shift, ensuring safe, efficient operations and timely production of finished products.

You will supervise employees, coordinate workflow, monitor quality and safety standards, and collaborate with other department managers to meet production objectives and cost targets.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years production/group leader experience in manufacturing, preferably in a food-related industry.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of scheduling and production processes.
• BS/BA degree in a related field desirable.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise processing, packaging and material handling on a shift.
• Coordinate shift activities to meet production objectives.
• Review budgets for the production area.
• Maintain control over manpower and labor costs in production-related areas.
• Ensure compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP programs.
