Job summary

The Marzetti Company is hiring a Packaging Supervisor to lead the packaging area, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency in a fast-paced plant setting. You will direct processing staff, coordinate shift activities and work with HR on hiring and training.

You’ll participate in continuous improvement initiatives, uphold HACCP/FSMA standards, and maintain strong cross-department collaboration to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, food-related ideal.
• Ability to handle confidential information and correspondence appropriately.
• Demonstrates positive leadership and self-motivation.
• Strong organizational skills with multi-tasking and problem solving.
• Ability to read/interpret written and verbal directions in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises processing employees to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
• Works with HR on hiring, training and scheduling of the production workforce.
• Plans and communicates shift activities to achieve objectives in a cost-efficient way.
• Ensures scheduling of the processing department and maintains timely reporting.
• Maintains relationships with other departments and reacts to deviations from standards.
