Appvion in Wisconsin is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a shift with a focus on safety, quality and productivity. You will develop your team, enforce standard work, and address downtime and process variation with urgency to hit key KPIs.

This role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or related field, 1–3 years of manufacturing leadership, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills. You’ll operate in a fast-paced, high‑performance culture with rotating 12‑hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices preferred, but not required.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Flexibility to work rotating 12‑hour shifts.
• High level of initiative, organization, and emotional intelligence.
• Proven ability to resolve personnel issues and foster a respectful, inclusive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and policies
• Lead, coach, and develop your team to achieve daily production goals
• Support the area leaders and managers to achieve team objectives
• Monitor production performance and respond to downtime, quality issues, and inefficiencies in real time
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and scheduling teams to ensure smooth operations
• Communicate priorities, issues, and expectations to the plant floor
• Enforce standard work and drive accountability to established processes
• Support training and onboarding of new employees
• Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) and support cross-functional initiatives
• Ensure proper documentation and shift handoff communication
