The candidate should have supervisory experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong mechanical aptitude with tools, to oversee staff, manage safety, and coordinate materials and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with high-speed manufacturing processes.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using common hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage a department/shift to maximize uptime and throughput in quantity and quality.
• Supervise staff: assign work, provide instruction, review work, and contribute to performance appraisals.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality; identify trouble sources and take corrective action.
• Ensure staff adheres to safety rules and procedures.
• Track inventory levels of supplies and procure replacements as needed.
• Provide ongoing staff training to improve knowledge and skills.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by Managers.
• Enforce corporate and plant quality standards.
