Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to lead a production unit, coaching staff on safety, quality, and productivity. You will manage staffing, training, and daily operations to meet production goals while adhering to BD policies.

Responsibilities include on-floor leadership, performance tracking, and collaboration with planning to optimize schedules, with a focus on continuous improvement and strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred; in lieu, 3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three years of people-leading experience preferred.
• Three years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead 75% of time on the production floor leading associates.
• Staffing and training plans within the department.
• Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates.
• Provide a learning environment and challenge associates to meet higher expectations.
• Ensure an open flow of communication between production associates and management.
• Represent concerns of production associates to management, and management concerns to production associates.
• Actively participate and support continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with Production Planning to establish production schedules and monitor performance against schedule.
• Track production metrics to ensure department goals are met and report progress.
