Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall, MI, is seeking an off-shift Manufacturing Supervisor for Plant 10 Whitehall Casting to lead a production team, ensure safety, quality, and on-time scheduling, and drive continuous improvement.

You will mentor supervisors, manage staffing, and coordinate with engineering, quality, and maintenance while upholding EHS rules and the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a manufacturing team; plans meetings, performance appraisals, staffing, vacations, overtime, and leaves of absences.
• Provides feedback and maintains documentation for discipline.
• Trains and mentors new Supervisors; ensures EHS compliance and company policies.
• Directs training and orientation to ensure understanding of policies and procedures.
• Schedules production and work teams; reviews reports and resolves operational issues to minimize costs and delays.
• Promotes EHS, continuous improvement, and ABS/6S programs; manages material flow and inventory as applicable.
