Job summary

SunCoke Energy seeks a Shift Leader to direct and coordinate crew activities on the Coke production shift. You will ensure safety, enforce SOP adherence, and maintain production schedules by prioritizing operations and coordinating between material handlers, power/co-generation partners, and customers.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities of all crew members during a Shift in processing materials or manufacturing products.
• Ensure the safety of all personnel on Shift / in the Plant.
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Comply with all State and Federal Safety and Environmental regulations.
• Coordinate efforts between material handler, Power Company in its co-generation capacity and primary customer.
• Directs the inspection machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
