Job summary

Marathon Petroleum is seeking a shift leader for our NGL fractionation facility in Texas City. The role directs console and outside operators to uphold safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations through a rotating 12-hour schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities include coordinating operations, supporting maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing operator skills to achieve performance goals while maintaining strong field relationships.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred.
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred; midstream preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations at an NGL fractionation facility.
• Supervise console and outside operators to ensure safe, reliable plant performance.
• Coordinate operational activities and respond to abnormal conditions.
• Support maintenance and turnaround activities and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Develop operator capability to meet operational objectives and drive performance.
• Maintain professional relationships with field personnel and customers.
• Assist with budgeting for the assigned area.
