Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking an operations technician for the Houston Central Natural Gas Complex to perform diverse plant duties and help maintain safe, efficient operation of all equipment and processes. You will communicate plant conditions to control room operators and shift leads, while following safety regulations and completing assigned PMs.

Responsibilities include operating pumps and other equipment, coordinating with maintenance, and training personnel as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to undergo drug screening and background check.
• Experience with pumps, motors and plant equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make changes throughout plant units for safe and efficient operations.
• Start, stop and operate pumps, compressors, coolers, expanders, chillers within parameters.
• Maintain communications with control room operators and shift lead.
• Ensure compliance with Plant Safety regulations (LO/TO, Hot Work, JSA, Confined Space).
• Train and oversee company and third party personnel as required.
• Perform troubleshooting on facility equipment.
• Create accurate work tickets for repairs by maintenance and E&C teams.
