Job summary

Burlington is seeking a Department Manager for the Safety Component’s manufacturing shift. You will direct daily tasks, oversee safety, quality and production, and drive employee training and engagement to meet plant goals.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the management team, maintaining floor presence, and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures across safety, waste, and cost metrics.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily tasks of operators, service and technicians to meet scheduled production goals.
• Ensure standard work practices to achieve safety, quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with all employees to ensure understanding and ongoing training.
• Oversee onboarding and monitor reinforcement of training and OJT progress.
• Communicate daily with the team on safety, production goals, quality issues and plant objectives.
• Foster positive employee relations to support two-way communication, engagement and recognition.
• Work with the Burlington management team to solve problems and meet plant objectives.
• Maintain a presence on the manufacturing floor and ensure daily interactions with employees.
