Job summary

Sweet Cow in Boulder, CO is seeking a friendly Shift Lead to coach a fast-paced team, keep service tight, and ensure we deliver fun, high-quality ice cream.

You’ll run the shift, supervise a small crew, handle cash, and maintain clean, inviting shop standards while delivering memorable guest experiences. If you love leading people and can work open availability, this role is for you.

Qualifications

• At least six months experience delegating and coordinating tasks of two or more employees.
• Open availability; able to schedule 4 daytime shifts Mon-Fri or 2+ closing shifts Mon-Thu and 2+ Fri-Sun.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the full shift.
• 18+ years old and committed to schedule adherence and growth.
• Six months of experience in a related service industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead your shift, coach, support, and inspire the team while serving customers.
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and efficient by delegating tasks.
• Be the on‑the‑floor team coach and maintain positive momentum.
• Oversee transactions with accurate POS and cash handling.
• Create a fun, memorable experience for customers and crew; problem-solve in real time.
• Open and close the shop, handling key daily operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead your shift – coach, support, and inspire your team as we scoop, serve & engage with customers

What We Need from You:

• Can work at least 3 shifts per week (15+ hrs)
• Open availability; you must be able to schedule: 4 daytime shifts (open‑4 pm) Monday–Friday, or 2+ closing shifts Monday–Thursday, 2+ closing shifts Friday–Sunday, and 1+ daytime shifts Saturday–Sunday
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs & stand for the full shift
• 18+ years old
• Commitment to schedule adherence, continued training, and growth
• Have at least six months of experience delegating and/or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees
• Have at least six (6) months of experience in a related service industry

Compensation:

$23 per hour ($15.00 per hour + $8.00/hr average in tips)
