Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Shift Manager Maintenance for the Tilden Mine site in Ishpeming, MI. The role provides management oversight of all maintenance projects within the Tilden Plant.

The incumbent will ensure safety, assign daily work, supervise the team, and report progress to the senior shift manager, while coaching staff and handling miscellaneous duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software.
• Rotating shift role that alternates weekly and may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality execution of work and reports deviations from the plan.
• Provides coaching, leadership, and direction for department personnel.

Cleveland-Cliff has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Maintenance at our Tilden Mine site. This position will provide management oversight of all maintenance related projects in the Tilden Plant.

• Assigns work to the team per the daily and weekly schedule.
• Responsible for the quality execution of work and reports and recommends solutions to deviations from the plan.
• Provides coaching, leadership, and direction for department personnel.
• Distributes work orders for every job and provides progress updates to the senior shift manager daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided)
• Rotating shift role that alternates weekly. Must be able to work alternate schedules that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime, and be punctual while doing so.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial setting.
• 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent education.
