Manager I

Purpose:

The purpose of the Manager I (MGRI) position is to assist Branch management in executing QSR or similar restaurant management operations. The MGRI ensures the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operates to high standards, following policies and procedures for management decisions.

Essential Functions:

1. Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures/checklists according to company policies.
2. Assist the AGM/GM in supervising daily activities of associates within one or more restaurant locations.
3. Participate in hiring, provide input on employment decisions, and recommend promotions or terminations.
4. Assign tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure shift coverage.
5. Ensure associates take mandated rest and meal breaks.
6. Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of display areas.
7. Ensure equipment is in good working order.
8. Operate cash register, handle transactions securely, and follow cash handling policies.
9. Monitor safety and wellness compliance, report concerns, and promote safety awareness.
10. Perform health and safety activities as outlined in the Manager’s Guide.
11. Place orders, receive goods, and process invoices.
12. Keep current contact information for all restaurant associates.

Requirements:

1. Ability to work various shifts, including opening, busy periods, and closing.
2. Knowledge of sanitary, safety, and health standards, including HACCP compliance.

Reporting and Other Information:

• This is a Non-Exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Typically reports to the General Manager, Director of Operations, or F&B Multi-Unit Manager II.
• Expected to work a rotating schedule across different days and times.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Environment:

• Minimum 2 years of food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or kitchen.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand instructions and policies.
