Job summary

Steak ’n Shake Batavia is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability. You will ensure strong openings and closings by setting up the team for success and delivering fast, friendly, and accurate service to guests.

Ideal candidates have supervisory or restaurant management experience, a proven track record in guest service, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• US work authorization required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior supervisory or restaurant management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability.
• Ensure strong openings and closings by setting up the team for success.
• Set the tone for the shift—motivate and coach team members for success.
• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service that exceeds guest expectations.
• Ensure all brand standards are met - cleanliness, food safety, and quality.
• Handle opening and closing duties, including key-holder responsibilities.
• Count drawers, manage deposits, and finalize end-of-day reports.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment built on trust and respect.
• Step into any station as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
