Job summary

Super Star Car Wash in Avondale, AZ is seeking a Shift Manager-On-Duty to lead daily operations, manage staffing and safety, and deliver fast, high-quality guest service in a busy, outdoor environment.

You will coach and develop teams, own opening and closing procedures, and ensure consistent brand and cleanliness standards while rotating through People, Sales, and Operations leadership focus areas to build toward higher-level roles.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or customer-service experience.
• Retail, hospitality, or car wash experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, make decisions, and drive results.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and hold others accountable.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Energy, adaptability, and a hands-on leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Own daily shift execution, including staffing, business flow, safety, and service standards.
• Serve as Manager-on-Duty, resolving guest and team issues with confidence and discretion.
• Ensure smooth shift transitions through clear communication and follow-through.
• Execute opening and closing procedures and maintain operational readiness.
• Lead, coach, and hold team members accountable to operational standards.
• Provide shoulder to shoulder coaching and recognize team members.
• Support training completion and promote a culture of engagement and accountability.
• Model company values and enforce policies and procedures.
• Proactively identify safety risks and address issues immediately.
• Ensure consistent execution of brand and cleanliness standards.
• To support leadership development, Shift Managers rotate through focus areas: People & Staffing Leadership, Sales & Training Leadership, Operations & Tunnel Leadership.
