Shift Manager

The Shift Manager runs shifts, leads team members, and supports the restaurant management team. The shift manager shares accountability with the restaurant management team for all restaurant operations, focusing on satisfying guests, developing team members, and growing sales and profits.

Key Responsibilities of the Shift Manager:

  • Address and resolve guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Engage positively with guests.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet guest service needs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and team members, ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
  • Handle ingredients and menu items properly, with attention to food safety.
  • Forecast sales, create schedules, manage inventory, and complete reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three months of experience as a team member.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Employees regularly stand, walk, talk, and hear; handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally, employees sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds. Visual requirements include peripheral vision and focus adjustment. The environment may include cooking fumes and moderate noise levels.
