Job summary

Niemann Foods / Pet Supplies Plus seeks a store supervisor to assist the Store Director in delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales. You will help oversee daily operations, inventory control, merchandising, and cost management while ensuring safety policies are followed.

The role supervises 3–4 associates, supports animal care, and handles customer issues. A high school diploma and pet product knowledge are required; leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess product knowledge of pets and pet related products.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer projects needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly.
• Assist in managing total store operations.
• Processes information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system.
• Assists with stocking of pet supplies deliveries and back stock, including building and filling displays.
• Assists in keeping backroom neat and up to best practices standards.
• Assists in handling Associate issues.
• Assist in handling customer issues.
• Assist with general care of animals.
• Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed by all Associates.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

To assist the Pet Supply Plus Store Director in establishing and maintain excellent customer service, accountability for the operation of the store insuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, inventory, expense control, Human Resources Management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
