Job summary

The Wendy's Company is seeking a Shift Manager to guide Crew team members, assign tasks, and ensure high quality service and food at our Springfield, OH locations. You will coach staff, enforce safety guidelines, and participate in on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a restaurant or supervisory role, and must be able to obtain Food Safety Certification.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant or supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification.
• Able to legally work in the US; 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Direct, assign, and coach crew team members to ensure high quality service and food.
• Monitor crew tasks to maintain product Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) and follow cost-control procedures.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and training as needed.

What you'll do

Shift managers play a vital role in our success as a business by assigning, directing, and following up on activities of Crew team members while also providing high quality service and food to our customers. Job responsibilities include providing guidance and coaching to crew team members, including assignment delegation, instruction, and follow-through. Shift managers ensure proper training for crew team members and maintain safe working conditions by ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed. To assist you in learning to be a successful part of our team, we offer on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

This position does not include direct supervision of other employees, however Shift Managers do monitor tasks performed by crew team members to ensure product Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) as well as execute established cost control systems including proper food prep amounts, procedure execution, and bin chart usage to minimize food cost. Shift managers may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures.
