Job summary

The Wendy's Company is seeking a Shift Manager in Port Clinton, OH. You will guide the Crew, deliver high-quality service, and ensure food safety and cost controls. On-the-job training and advancement opportunities are provided by Wendy's franchise teams.

This role emphasizes coaching, task delegation, and adherence to QSC standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with potential for opening or closing duties as required.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• 1+ years of restaurant or supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct and follow up on Crew activities to ensure quality service.
• Provide guidance, coaching, instruction, and follow-through to crew.
• Ensure proper training and maintain safe working conditions per guidelines.
• Monitor tasks to uphold QSC and manage cost-control procedures.
• May perform opening or closing procedures as needed.

What you'll do

Shift managers play a vital role in our success as a business by assigning, directing, and following up on activities of Crew team members while also providing high quality service and food to our customers. Job responsibilities include providing guidance and coaching to crew team members, including assignment delegation, instruction, and follow-through. Shift managers ensure proper training for crew team members and maintain safe working conditions by ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed. To assist you in learning to be a successful part of our team, we offer on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

This position does not include direct supervision of other employees, however Shift Managers do monitor tasks performed by crew team members to ensure product Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) as well as execute established cost control systems including proper food prep amounts, procedure execution, and bin chart usage to minimize food cost. Shift managers may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures.
