Job summary

The Wendy's Company in Massillon, OH is seeking a dedicated Shift Manager to oversee Crew activities, delegate tasks, and ensure high-quality service and food. You will coach team members, provide on-the-job training, and maintain safe working conditions by enforcing safety guidelines.

The role offers on-the-job learning and advancement opportunities within a franchise environment. As a Shift Manager, you may open or close the restaurant, monitor cost controls, and ensure consistent execution of

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant or supervisory experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification.
• Must be able to work legally in the US and be at least 18.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
• Strong customer service and food safety knowledge.
• Flexible scheduling and willingness to open/close.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, and follow up on Crew team activities.

What you'll do

Shift managers play a vital role in our success as a business by assigning, directing, and following up on activities of Crew team members while also providing high quality service and food to our customers. Job responsibilities include providing guidance and coaching to crew team members, including assignment delegation, instruction, and follow-through. Shift managers ensure proper training for crew team members and maintain safe working conditions by ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed. To assist you in learning to be a successful part of our team, we offer on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

This position does not include direct supervision of other employees, however Shift Managers do monitor tasks performed by crew team members to ensure product Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) as well as execute established cost control systems including proper food prep amounts, procedure execution, and bin chart usage to minimize food cost. Shift managers may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures.
