Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, including guest experience, food preparation, cleanliness, inventory, and staff scheduling. You will cascade training to team members, supervise staff, and ensure equipment is maintained.

The role requires effective communication and organization in a fast-paced environment. Full-time/part-time options and varying shift times are available by location; compensation to be discussed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
