Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced environment. You will focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, and staff supervision.

You’ll cascade training to Sandwich Artists, schedule shifts, manage inventory, and ensure equipment functions properly. This role offers Full Time/Part Time options and day/evening/weekend shifts, with compensation to be discussed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily shift operations and guest experience.
• Supervise staff and cascade training.
• Monitor inventory and ensure proper food preparation and service.
• Complete administrative tasks and shift paperwork.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
