Job summary

Steak ’n Shake is seeking a Shift Manager in Ohio to lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability. You’ll ensure strong openings and closings by preparing the team for success, motivating staff, and delivering fast, friendly service that exceeds guest expectations.

The role emphasizes maintaining brand standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality, managing opening/closing duties, deposits, and end-of-day reporting, and actively coaching staff while supporting

Qualifications

• Supervisory or shift-lead experience preferred.
• US work authorization required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

What You Will Do:

• Lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability
• Ensure strong openings and closings by setting up the team for success
• Set the tone for the shift—motivate and coach team members for success
• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service that exceeds guest expectations
• Ensure all brand standards are met - cleanliness, food safety, and quality
• Handle opening and closing duties, including key-holder responsibilities
• Count drawers, manage deposits, and finalize end-of-day reports
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members
• Support training and onboarding of new team members
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment built on trust and respect
• Step into any station as needed to keep operations running smoothly
