Job description

SHIFT MANAGER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure that restaurants are clean and well maintained, following all company procedures and meeting standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and customer service.
• Control costs at budgeted levels related to cash handling, food products, labor, supplies, and energy consumption.
• Manage cash register setup and shift changes.
• Supervise the shift, overseeing a team of 4 or more employees, directing, communicating, and maintaining customer service standards.
• Train new and existing team members in job stations when requested.
• Complete all required shift management administrative duties.
• Oversee product ordering, post sales readings, and conduct shift awareness walkthroughs.
• Observe all safety and security procedures.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong customer service skills
• Effective communication skills
• Basic computer and math skills
• At least 18 years of age
• Serv Safe certification

Availability

Must be available to work at least 3 days a week and one full shift (opening, mid, or closing).

Equipment

• Inside environmental conditions with protection from weather, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• Work occurs both indoors and outdoors.
• Exposure to extreme cold below 32°F for periods.
• Potential hazards include moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, high heat, and chemicals.
