Job description

SHIFT MANAGER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Ensures that restaurants are clean and well maintained, that all company procedures are followed, and all standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and customer service are met.
  2. Controls costs at budgeted levels related to cash handling, food products, labor, supplies, energy consumption, etc.
  3. Responsible for cash register setup and shift change.
  4. Manages the shift, supervises team members (4 or more employees), and maintains customer service standards.
  5. Trains new and existing team members as requested.
  6. Completes required shift management administrative duties.
  7. Places product orders, posts sale readings, and conducts shift awareness walk-throughs.
  8. Observes safety and security procedures.
  9. Trains, coaches, and develops Team Members.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Serv Safe certification required.
  • Available to work at least 3 days a week and one full shift (opening, mid, or closing).

Equipment

Includes fryers, thermalizer, grills, walk-in freezer, menu boards, computers, cash registers, filtering machines, steam units, holding cabinets, storage units, soda fountain, microwave, utensils, drive-thru systems, coolers, freezers, and hot holding lines.

  • Work occurs both inside and outside, with exposure to weather and temperature changes.
