SHIFT MANAGER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure that restaurants are clean and well maintained, all company procedures are followed, and standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and customer service are met.
• Control costs at budgeted levels related to cash handling, food products, labor, supplies, and energy consumption.
• Manage cash register setup and shift changes.
• Supervise a team of 4 or more employees per shift, directing and communicating effectively while maintaining customer service standards.
• Train new and existing team members in job stations when requested.
• Complete required shift management administrative duties.
• Oversee product ordering, post sales readings, and conduct shift awareness walkthroughs.
• Observe all safety and security procedures.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer and math skills
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Serv Safe certification

Availability

Must be available to work a minimum of 3 days a week and one full shift (opening, mid, or closing).

Fryers, thermalizer, flat-top grills, split-lid grills, walk-in freezer, menu boards, computers, cash registers, filtering machines, steam units, holding cabinets, storage units, soda fountain setup, microwave, cooking utensils, drive-thru communication systems, coolers, freezers, and hot holding line.

Environmental Conditions:

• Inside environmental conditions, with protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• Work occurs both indoors and outdoors.

• Exposure to hazards including moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, high heat, or chemicals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employees must regularly stand, handle or feel with hands, reach, communicate, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and push. Occasionally sit, climb, or balance. Regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
