Job description

SHIFT MANAGER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Ensures that restaurants are clean and well maintained, that all company procedures are followed, and all standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and customer service are met.
2. Controls costs at budgeted levels related to cash handling, food products, labor, supplies, energy consumption, etc.
3. Responsible for cash register setup and shift change.
4. Manages the shift, supervises team members (4 or more employees), and maintains customer service standards.
5. Trains new and existing team members as needed.
6. Completes required shift management administrative duties.
7. Places product orders, posts sales readings, and conducts shift awareness walk-throughs.
8. Observes all safety and security procedures.
9. Trains, coaches, and develops team members.

Qualifications

Availability

Must be available to work at least 3 days a week and one full shift (opening, mid, or closing).

Equipment

Environmental Conditions

• Work occurs both inside and outside, with exposure to weather conditions.
• Subject to extreme cold temperatures below 32°F.
• Exposure to hazards like moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, high heat, and chemicals.
• May encounter fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, or poor ventilation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires standing, handling, reaching, communicating, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, sitting, climbing, and balancing. Must lift up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
