Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to plan, organize, and direct all maintenance functions for a designated shift within our manufacturing facility in Ohio. You will manage labor and downtime coordination, ensuring safety and equipment uptime while optimizing costs.

Responsibilities include scheduling non-breakdown maintenance, guiding skilled trades, coordinating with engineering and HR, and driving continuous improvement through cost-saving projects and asset reliability

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, models, drawings and technical specifications.
• Extensive working knowledge of manufacturing practices.
• Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior Maintenance experience required.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Experience with PLCs and controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess labor, material and time needed for maintenance tasks and coordinate downtime with internal customers.
• Manage the maintenance hourly workforce on a designated shift with safety focus.
• Plan and schedule non-breakdown maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize costs.
• Direct the workforce in installation and maintenance of assets ensuring safe work and LOTO compliance.
• Prepare schedules and manhour usage reports for the Maintenance Manager.
• Enforce the Collective Bargaining Agreement with HR and contractual obligations.
• Assist craftsmen with troubleshooting machines and with project installation as needed.
• Research and source outside materials and coordinate process improvements.
• Participate in cost-saving projects and support internal customer activities.
