Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to plan, organize, and direct all maintenance functions for a designated shift at our facility.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and hands-on experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley) and diverse manufacturing processes. You will manage hourly staff, coordinate downtime with internal customers, and drive uptime improvements, cost savings, and preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, models, drawings and technical specifications.
• Extensive working knowledge of manufacturing practices across diverse processes.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience required.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and varying environment.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Prior experience with writing and troubleshooting PLC programs & hardware, especially Allen Bradley.

Responsibilities

• Assess labor, material and time needed to complete a maintenance function; coordinate downtime with internal customers.
• Manage the maintenance hourly workforce on a shift with focus on safety.
• Maximize production uptime efficiencies.
• Plan and schedule non-breakdown maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and minimize maintenance expenses.
• Direct the workforce in installation and maintenance of assets; ensure safety and LOTO compliance.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly schedules and manhour usage for the Maintenance Manager.
• Enforce contractual obligations and align with HR on the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Assist craftsmen with troubleshooting machines.
• Create and implement solutions to recurring issues with proper approvals.
• Research and purchase required outside materials when needed.
• Perform studies and coordinate process improvements; participate in cost savings projects.
• Assist engineering with installation of projects; support internal customer activities.
