Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Lead to direct maintenance staff, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and support plant operations. The role requires strong problem-solving ability, leadership, and adherence to safety and food-safety standards.

The position demands experience in electrical and mechanical disciplines, ability to read blueprints, and the versatility to work various shifts, including weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Must reliably troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong technical aptitude & knowledge of standard mechanical/electrical practices, codes & standards.
• Ability to learn new equipment with limited instruction.
• Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for hours; climb stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to lead others, organize and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance staff to complete work on shift.
• Trains, mentors, and monitors maintenance personnel.
• Responds to machinery breakdowns and supports daily plant operations.
• Performs machinery set-ups and changeovers for product transitions.
• Performs electrical and mechanical installations and modifications.
• Records work performed and training provided.
• Reports issues with machinery and personnel.
• Ensures safety, quality, GMP, GDP adherence.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/mechanical problems to get machines on line.
• Follows OSHA and food safety regulations.
