Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp. seeks a Production Lead to direct the plant's processing and packaging area on a single shift, ensuring production goals are met within budget and company policies.

You will work closely with the Shift Supervisor and Quality Assurance to maintain safety, sanitation, and product quality across all processes, trains staff, and reports on daily production metrics. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced food-manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Directs 15 to 30 employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Directs and controls the processing and packaging area of the plant on one shift to meet production goals.
• Directs all plant hourly work force from ingredient making to off dock shipping.
• Maintains safety, quality, and sanitation on the shift.
• Trains subordinates in safety, accident prevention and operation procedures.
• Ensures compliance with USDA and FDA laws and company policies.
• Prepares daily logs and production reports.
